On January 7, 2025, at 6:49 pm, the first of many Eaton Fire Incident Updates was posted. At that time, the fire only consumed 10 acres. No structures were threatened, no structures destroyed, no structures damaged, no civilian injuries, no firefighter injuries, no civilian fatalities, and no firefighter fatalities.
Ten days later, the Eaton Fire encompassed 14,021 acres, was 81% contained, 10,210 structures threatened, 9,366 structures destroyed, 1,062 structures damaged, and no civilian injuries. However, eight firefighter injuries and 17 civilian fatalities were reported.
